The mission of Christian Temple is to “promote Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of the world by calling all people into ecumenical community through worship, education, fellowship and world outreach.” There is a place for you and your family at Christian Temple. If you are looking for a church home, please consider joining us. We are a Christ-centered, friendly, and inclusive church that is dedicated to serving God, the community and the world.
WORSHIP
Our worship service is composed of praise hymns, choir anthems, special music, Scripture readings as well as uplifting messages. Our service is presented in a multimedia format with song verses and responsive readings projected on a screen. MUSIC
Music is a very important part of our church. We are blessed to have 4 different choir groups. A chancel choir assists each week during worship with tradition hymns. The Hand Bell choir brings the sounds of bells at Christmas and Easter. Our Folk Choir brings a down home bluegrass sound several time a year. Sound Foundation, a twelve-member praise band with drums, guitars, keyboard, and flute plays a variety of music, including praise songs, rock & roll and Christian music. They play about 4 times a year as well as at special events throughout the community.
OUTREACH
We are involved in many outreach projects, including, CROP Walk for the hungry, Giant Cellar and NY Help Honduras. We host a free meal at the church each Saturday that feeds around 100, as well as a free clothing room. We financially support Isaac’s – a local Youth For Christ program.

The Preamble
of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
“As members of the Christian Church, we confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and proclaim Him Lord and Savior of the World. In Christ’s name and by His grace we accept our mission of witness and service to all people. We rejoice in God, maker of heaven and earth, and in covenant of love, which binds us to God and one another. Through baptism into Christ we enter into newness of life and are made one with the whole people of God. In communion of the Holy Spirit we are joined together in discipleship and in obedience to Christ. At the table of the Lord we celebrate with thanksgiving the saving acts and presence of Christ. Within the universal church we receive the gift of ministry and the light of scripture. In the bonds of Christian faith we yield ourselves to God that we may serve the One whose kingdom has no end. Blessing, glory, and honor be to God forever. Amen”
